Opened in 1993 in central New Belgrade, Durmitor quickly became one of the city’s most respected traditional restaurants. We are known for our attentive service, fresh and high-quality ingredients, homemade desserts, and an excellent selection of wines.

Every day, we prepare homemade bread baked under the sač (a traditional slow-cooking method), along with classic Serbian dishes, slow-cooked meats, grilled specialties, fish dishes, and traditional desserts—all served in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere appreciated by both locals and visitors.

Guests from all over the world return for our signature dishes, especially veal, lamb, and kid goat slow-cooked under the sač, as well as our famous beefsteak in olive oil. For dessert, many say our traditional “three-milk cake” (Tres Leches) is the best in town.

For those seeking a taste of tradition in the morning, we offer authentic Serbian breakfasts such as warm cornmeal (kačamak) with homemade sour milk, popara (bread cooked with milk and butter), or freshly made fritters served with cheese and prosciutto—flavors that bring back the feeling of home.
